You may notice a new face leading the team at Scarborough Veterinary Surgery, with Dr Mark Tredrea recently stepping into the role of Principal Veterinarian.
Dr Mark Tredrea, BVSc (Hons), is a passionate small animal veterinarian who brings years of experience in caring for the cats and dogs that are such an important part of local Redcliffe families. Friendly, approachable and highly skilled, Dr Mark enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, from routine wellness checks and preventative care through to more complex medical and surgical procedures.
A talented and experienced surgeon, Dr Mark has particular expertise in soft tissue and dental surgery. Whether performing a delicate operation or helping restore a pet’s comfort through dental treatment, his focus is always on providing gentle, compassionate care and achieving the best possible outcome for every patient.
Just as important to Dr Mark is building strong relationships with pet owners and working alongside the experienced team at the clinic.
“Pets are such an important part of the family,” he says. “The best outcomes happen when vets and owners work together. I’m also very fortunate to be supported by a wonderful team here at Scarborough Veterinary Surgery who are just as passionate about providing compassionate care for every patient that walks through the door.”
Dr Mark’s love of animals doesn’t stop when he leaves the clinic. At home, along with his human family, he shares life with three much-loved companions: Connie, a wolfhound cross, Penny, a cattle dog cross, and Ellie, a curious Devon Rex cat.
He is also passionate about helping pets stay healthy throughout every stage of life. One way the clinic supports this is through the Supertails Wellness Program, a preventative healthcare membership that helps make routine veterinary care easier and more affordable for pet owners. The program allows families to spread the cost of essential services such as vaccinations, health checks and parasite prevention, while ensuring pets receive the regular care they need to stay happy and healthy.
